Zoom on the latest news from Dell and Alienware |
At Computex, one of the world's largest computer shows, Dell and Alienware introduced a new generation of products in several ranges. We were able to take in hand some of them during an event organized by the two firms yesterday in Paris.
Alienware m15 and m17: visually more sober, technically more extravagant
Alienware has done a great overhaul on its new m15 and m17. Much finer than the previous generation, these PC gamers display a more sober design but still racy. They are also lighter with a starting weight of less than 2.1 Kg and 2.6 Kg. On the screen side, Alienware allows us to take advantage of OLED technology and 4K on 15 and 17 inch slabs.
Under the chassis, the Alienware m15 and m17 are able to integrate a 9th generation Intel Core processor. Finally, you can opt for a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card, a Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, a RTX 2070 or a RTX 2080.
The Alienware m15 and m17 are already available from 1599 and 1698 euros.
Alienware AW988: a headphone classified in the featherweight category
To accompany the Alienware m15 or Alienware m17, the American company offers the Alienware AW988, a very light and comfortable gaming headset. This is not new since it is already available on the French market at a price of 197.99 euros. Note, however, that Alienware plans to launch from July 31 two other models, the AW510H and AW310H, which have loudspeakers high resolution 50 mm (against 40 mm here).
Dell XPS 15: a new generation under the hood
Alongside the Dell XPS 13 , we have the Dell XPS 15 which evolves little visually but is technically renewed with 9th generation Intel Core processors and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card. Moreover, you have the choice between an IPS screen Full HD LCD, 4K Ultra HD IPS LCD screen or 4K Ultra HD OLED screen. Note that the Dell XPS 15 is the first model in the range to incorporate OLED technology.
This laptop will arrive on the market in the month of July from 1499 euros.
Inspiron 5000 and Inspiron 15 7000: lighter, more powerful
For those who do not want to be cluttered, Dell offers the Inspiron 5000 and Inspiron 15 7000, particularly lightweight laptops. The first integrates a SIM card drawer and allows its user to enjoy mobile broadband rather than WiFi when it is not available. The second displays a pretty good configuration with the Intel Core Series H 9th generation and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650.
Count 579 euros and 999 euros for the starting versions of the Dell Inspiron 5000 and Inspiron 15 7000.
