Samsung officializes the Galaxy A80 with rotating camera and side-to-side screen

Samsung has just introduced an atypical smartphone with a rotating camera, a "slider" system and an edge-to-edge screen.
In a market where all smartphones are alike, Samsung brings a little freshness with its Galaxy A80. At first glance, its design seems fairly conventional, but we quickly notice that it does not have a cut or notch to integrate the front camera. A choice that is explained by the presence of a slider type mechanism - as on the old phones of the early 2000s.
This technical solution, already adopted by Xiaomi on the Mi Mix 3 allows to maintain the front sensor, while offering an edge-to-edge screen. In contrast, Samsung goes a little further in originality by adding a triple rotating camera and a fingerprint reader under the screen.
In terms of technical specifications, it features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen in 20/9 format with Full HD + definition, a Snapdragon 7150 midrange SoC backed by 8GB of RAM, 128 GB storage, a 3700 mAh battery and a 25W fast charging system. Side photo, there is a main sensor of 48 Mpx, an ultra-wide angle of 8 Mpx and a ToF (Time of Flight) which is based on the same principle as the "True Depth" of the iPhone X.
We do not yet know its tariff position. It should be available on May 29th.
