scope
The Quality Engineer is responsible for the implementation of strategic quality initiatives and works directly with internal and external customers. This position will drive systemic quality improvement in MHICA. The Process Quality Engineer is responsible for identifying opportunities and taking leadership to make quality a competitive advantage for MHICA companies and their customers.
Position Summary
• Maintain and create an indicator to monitor the quality improvement process.
• Key role in customer audits, quality system audits, process product audits and effective completion of corrective actions.
• Identify and execute projects that standardize the inspection process and cause analysis.
• Develops and maintains proactive MHICA quality requirements and quality orientation that translate customer requirements into continuous quality process improvement.
• Create, review and update quality process documents (test procedures and work instructions) and other specific documents in accordance with customer requirements, quality standard AS 9100 and other legal / regulatory requirements related to the product.
• Works closely with the workshop to support R.C.A. to internal / external questions
• Work cross-border to facilitate containment / closure of deviations
• Tracking and monitoring non-compliance data and participating in process improvements
selection criterion
education
• Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• A strong quality background in the aerospace industry, familiarity with parts and assemblies for aerospace, manufacturing (machining) and assembly processes.
• CPQ / CQA certification with ASQ would be an advantage
Experience
• 3-5 years experience in aerospace and/or automotive quality control/quality assurance, with increased accountability and proven leadership.
• Experience and knowledge of the structural assembly process related to machined aircraft components, sheet metal, and aircraft assembly testing requirements
• Experience with the requirements of the quality management system AS 9100 Rev C and the process/product testing.
• Prior MRB experience preferred.
• Knowledge of statistical data analysis and methodology of problem-solving
• Outstanding ability to read and understand technical drawings - GD & T.
• Good decision-making skills and interaction with cross-functional teams.
• Possibility to coordinate several projects at the same time.
• Strong leadership, self-initiative and teamwork proved, organized and able to work under pressure.
• Ability and willingness to complete the work on a firm and challenging schedule and to keep open questions in time.
• Excellent planning skills, problem-solving skills, good oral and written communication skills, as well as good computer skills such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge in Project Manager, Access and Visio a plus.
• Experience with composites
