Witches and sorcerers, to your smartphones! The highly anticipated Harry Potter: Wizard Unite on Mobile Wizard Unite arrives Friday for Android and iOS. Lack of luck for us, augmented reality gaming will only be available in the United States and the United Kingdom first. A beta has been open in Australia and New Zealand since last month. Harry Potter: Wizard Unite was developed jointly by Warner Bros Games and Niantic.

Announced in 2017, the game is similar in principle to Pokemon Go Niantic, which allows players to evolve in the real world while pointing their phone to virtual objects. Based on the universe created by JK Rowling, Wizards Unite sends players to interact with fantastic beasts, learn spells and fight with other witches and wizards.
